Parker Releases a New Servo System Product Line - The P Series

06/01/2016

Rohnert Park, CA — Parker’s Electromechanical Division North America is pleased to announce the release of the P Series Servo Systems. The P Series includes compact, high-performance and competitively priced servo motors and drives, designed for demanding OEM and end-user applications. The P-Series drives operate with a variety of machine control architectures and offer sophisticated servo functionality. P-Series motors come standard with BiSS-C absolute encoders and populate motor nameplate data back to the drives for simplified commissioning. A number of different feedback types are supported to drive a wide range of linear and rotary servo motors.

For high speed, real-time network applications, the P-Series is available with EtherCAT, the fastest growing, most flexible industrial Ethernet protocol. Ideal for use with the Parker Automation Controller (PAC), the P-Series also follows the open standards for EtherCAT.

The ‘Pulse’ version of the drive can be configured for step and direction control input and includes analog inputs for torque or velocity control. Select Indexer mode to create up to 64 position table entries triggered via inputs or over a RS422 interface.

P Series drive features:

  • EtherCAT and ‘Pulse’ drive versions
  • 400 to 3.5kW power output
  • BiSS-C, Endat2.2, Quadrature encoder and analog sin/cos feedback support
